Rewind, the winds ensemble was formed on the 8th August 2008 by members from the Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony (RPWS).
The name
‘Rewind’, derived from Republic Winds, consists of a few major forms, mainly the Quintet (5 musicians). With an aim to promote and discover the beauty of the various woodwind instruments (inclusive of the French horn), Rewind also aim to explore the wide and different genres of music, ranging from Classical, Pop, Jazz, contemporary concert music to popular songs.
At the same time,
Rewind is allowing woodwinds members from RPWS to showcase their talent outside the band room.
